Cooper Turned One!

It's hard to believe that our little guy is one!  Everyday he amazes us with what he is learning.  He officially looks and acts like a toddler now.  Here are things that he currently doing at one year.
  • Wave bye-bye
  • Point at things he wants
  • Say ball
  • Eat table food (favorite is chicken nuggets)
  • Walk
  • Fall to the floor and throw a fit :-)
  • Throw his sippy cup and almost of his food off of his high chair tray onto the floor :-)
  • Loves to dance (He'll dance to just about any beat - even a slow one)
  • Give hugs
  • Clap his hands
  • Loves to try to drive Gigi's car
  • Can turn the volume up on Gigi's car stereo to the highest possible volume and jam to the music
  • When his daddy plays with him and makes a roaring sound Cooper loves to copy the sound back to his daddy
Here is the slideshow from Cooper's 1st birthday photography session with Allison Parker of FeatherNest Photography.

Cooper Wayne is 9 Months Old!

Our little dude is now 9 months old! It is so hard to believe! When I look back at his newborn pictures it amazes me how much he has grown and learned since then. He is now crawling and pulling up! Michael and I bought him a walker to pull up on and just last night he took a couple of steps while holding onto it. He loves to watch his daddy play X-Box! He stands in front of the TV and touches the screen while his daddy plays. His daddy is very proud of the fact that he can use the X-Box game controller to move the characters. It is quite funny! I do have to say that he can be quite obsessive over the game controller. I don't think he wants his daddy using it. If we won't let him have the controller he throws a little fit and jumps up and down. He will also push the buttons on the remote and then look at the TV to see what the button does to the TV. He also loves to play with our phones. In fact, last week he called his Aunt Mel! Mel later sees the missed call from me and calls me back. I then proceed to tell her that it wasn't me that called her, it was Cooper. He has also called Gigi and even texted his dad. It was a very detailed and long text that stated "A". Michael then text me back "A what"? I then realized Cooper must of sent him a text. I looked back at my sent messages and sure enough there it was. :-) He is now too big for his infant car seat! :-( We should be receiving his new one this week. Incidentally, the style of the car seat is called Sutton. Enough with the words...here are the pictures! We recently bought a new video camera, so as soon as I figure out how to post videos I will.

Look what I can do mom!
This was his first time to stand up in his crib.
His Father's Day attire.
Like father, like son. :-)
Enjoying his sweet potatoes!
I'm not quite sure what this look was about!?

Monkey Business

The video quality is not so good because I shot this on our dated Sony digital camera. If anyone ever runs into some guy named "Fat Tony" who is looking to unload some up-to-date HD camcorders please mention me. Thanks!

Cooper wants to wipe that goofy smile off of that monkey's face. Cooper teamed up with his sidekick Gary Glow-worm in order to launch an all-out offensive on the monkey.

Go to the bottom of the page and turn off the music to experience the true atmosphere of the attack!

Welcome to the Jungle!

Cooper is testing out his new activity mat which came from Santa by way of Sears and UPS. The key to a successful monkey capture is to sneak up from behind and...BAM! Silly monkey, he thought that was just a bear all along...
